The Government of the United States has many branches. The Congress, the legislative branch, the President, The Executive branch, the Courts, and the Judicial branch.

The checks and balances or the Separation of power is what stops 1 branch of the government from becoming too powerful.

The President is in charge of the executive branch.

Congress makes the federal laws of the United States.

The Congress has two parts, the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The Senate consists of 100 Senators.

The U.S. Senators are elected for 6 years.

There are four hundred thirty-five (435) voting members in the house of representatives.

The U.S. representatives are elected for tow years.

The elected U.S. Senator represents all people of the State.

Some States have more people than other States. That's why they have more U.S. representatives.

The President of the United States is elected for 4 years.

We vote for the U.S. President in November every 4 years.

The name of the Vice President now is Kamala Harris.

If the President can no longer serve, the Vise President becomes the President.

The Speaker of the House becomes the President if the President and the Vice President can no longer serve.

The President of the United States if the Commander in Chief of the Military.

The President's Cabinet Advises the President.

There are responsibility that is only for United States citizens such as:
